You can use KegelMAX during pregnancy as long as you do not have any complications. Every pregnancy is unique so if you are unsure please consult your health professional before use. Your LV score might fluctuate, particularly during the third trimester - this is totally normal and to be expected. You should wait until six weeks after giving birth before beginning to use KegelMAX again.

KegelMAX is completely covered in medical grade silicone with no exposed parts, so it is safe to use with the coil or IUD

If you have a pelvic health condition (e.g. prolapse or pelvic pain) we recommend you consult a health professional before purchasing KegelMAX as they will be best placed to give advice that is specific to you.

After childbirth is a great time to get into a regular pelvic floor exercise routine. We recommend you wait for approval from your health professional before using KegelMAX after childbirth - this will usually be at your six week check up.

As long as your device is an Android with 6 or newer, or an iPhone running iOS 10 or newer, and is Bluetooth Smart Ready (supports Bluetooth Low Energy),then KegelMAX will be compatible. You can also use KegelMAX with iPads running iPadOS 13 or newer

KegelMAX contains force and motion sensors. The force sensors measure the strength of your squeeze, while the motion sensors measure tilt.If KegelMAX tilts in the wrong direction, indicating you are pushing down rather than pulling up, the app will show you a warning message.

Bluetooth emits from the tail of KegelMAX which always remains outside the body.Bluetooth devices are extremely low powered—approximately 100 times less than the maximum power of a mobile phone.

You need internet access to download the iKegel app, set up your account, and access app updates. On a day-to-day basis, you do not need the internet to work out with KegelMAX.

KegelMAX is a pelvic floor trainer that uses a patented system of force and motion sensors to measure pelvic floor contractions. Until recently, this technology was only available in hospitals, but KegelMAX enables you to benefit from biofeedback technology in the comfort of your own home - or anywhere. KegelMAX connects to an app which provides real-time visual feedback. This allows you to see whether you are exercising correctly, as well as how strongly you are squeezing. KegelMAX detects and warns you if you are exercising incorrectly, which is important as pushing down rather than pulling up can be damaging to the pelvic floor in the long term. The results from your workouts are saved, allowing you to measure your improvement, track your progress and stay motivated to beat your personal best.

Kegel exercises have been clinically shown to improve incontinence, support bladder control during pregnancy, speed up postnatal recovery and reduce the risk of prolapse. Multiple studies show that giving women real-time biofeedback is one of the most effective methods of doing Kegel exercises, with direct force measurement being the gold standard. KegelMAX measures force directly, offering a significant advantage over existing products that rely on air pressure changes.

The results you see will vary depending on why you are using KegelMAX and what your goals are. Most users reported improvements in under 4 weeks, however the extent of these improvements may vary depending on your individual circumstances, and longer use may be required. We encourage users to find the routine that works for them - many users opt to use KegelMAX longer term to improve and maintain their pelvic floor strength.

KegelMAX is H8cm x W3.5cm x D3.3cm and weighs 25g. KegelMAX also comes with an optional cover for custom sizing. We recommend that all women try KegelMAX with and without the optional cover to see which is most comfortable.
